Abraham Lincoln is a well known emperor in the history of United States. He was the 16th president of United States. He led the country during its worst phase facing greatest constitutional, military and moral crises. He was a lawyer by profession. He was born on February 12, 1809 in a small cabin in Kentucky. His father was among the richest men in the county but when Abraham was seven years old his father lost all of his land in court cases. In 1819 when Abraham was just nine, his mother Nancy passed away. She was suffering from milk sickness. Then his father remarried. Lincoln got married on November 4, 1842 to Mary Todd who belonged to a wealthy family. He was fond of children and four children were born to the couple but two of them died in their childhood and one in adulthood aged 18. Only the eldest son Robert lived to adulthood and had children.
